Corey Eshelman Presents at the 2019 ESOP Multi-State Conference

Senior Accountant, Corey Eshelman, CPA, and Business Valuation Manager, Doug Knapp, ASA, attended The ESOP Association's Multi-State Conference on September 18-19, 2019. The conference took place at the Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center, located in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania. This year's conference included presentations on topics relevant to ESOPs, including human resources, mergers & acquisitions, valuations, leadership, company culture, and cybersecurity.

Corey Eshelman, CPA, presented Cybersecurity and Your ESOP: Emerging Trends for 2019 and Beyond. During Corey's session, he discussed:
  • the cybersecurity risk landscape
  • how to determine the risks to their business
  • general strategies to mitigate or prevent risks
  • leveraging the power of their ESOP into better cybersecurity

Corey graduated summa cum laude from Elizabethtown College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics. In 2016, Corey earned his certified public accountant designation. As an IT Specialist, Corey is responsible for conducting fieldwork related to computer control aspects of the engagements. He oversees the evaluation of computer controls, assesses the suitability of design, performs the testing of these controls, and supports the use of audit software applications on attest engagements. Corey is also responsible for the review and analysis of SSAE 16 Service Auditor reports used by the audit practice.
