Billing Email Best Practice
Consider using a shared billing email address, such as ap@yourcompany.com or accounting@yourcompany.com, for invoices and statements. This can help prevent missed communications, keep billing information accessible to the right team members, and simplify updates when staffing changes. To update your billing email, contact payments@troutcpa.com.

If you plan to pay by ACH bank transfer, there is one quick step that may help prevent payment issues.
If your bank uses ACH debit blocks or Positive Pay, which are common for business checking accounts, please contact your bank and ask them to authorize the following ACH Company IDs before adding your bank account to the portal:
-
4270465600 — Stripe Payments Company
-
1800948598 — Stripe Payments Company
-
1810887694 — PayNow (Stripe)
If you are unsure whether your account has an ACH block, your bank’s commercial banking or treasury team can confirm. Authorizing these IDs in advance can help ensure your bank account is added successfully and payments are processed without interruption.
