Dental Relief Fund for Medicaid and CHIP Providers

Dental providers who participate in Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Programs (CHIP) can apply for funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on the CARES Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal.

The fund allows eligible CHIP and Medicaid providers to report their annual patient revenue, which will be used as a factor in determining their payment, which “will be at least 2 percent” of the provider’s reported gross revenue. The application deadline for the relief fund is July 20, 2020

HHS has also indicated that they plan to allocate additional relief funds to dentists who practice outside CHIP and Medicaid. The allocation date has not been determined.
