Krista Showers Serves as Preliminary Judge for PA FBLA 2021 Event

Krista Showers, CPA, CEBS, partner at Trout CPA, served as a preliminary judge of the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) American Enterprise Project event for the 2021 State Leadership Conference.  As such, she reviewed the written report.  The purpose of the American Enterprise Project is to promote an awareness of some facet of the American enterprise system within a school and/or community.  The intent is to help members learn more about the economic system under which they live and then to share their expertise in some way with others inside and/or outside the school.

She also serve as a judge of the Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Client Service event for the 2021 State Leadership Conference.  As a  judge, she reviewed live student performances. This event provides members with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate skill sin interacting with internal and external clients to provide an outstanding client service experience.  The client service consultant engages clients in conversations regarding products, handles inquiries, solves problems, and uncovers opportunities for additional assistance.  Participants develop speaking ability and poise through presentation as well as critical thinking skills.

The FBLA helps students develop leadership abilities, and prepare for entry into, and advancement within, a business or business-related occupation. Members learn how to engage in business enterprise, how to direct the affairs of a group, and how to compete honorably in competitive events. These activities help prepare students to be better employees and better citizens.”
