HHS Distributing $2 Billion More in Provider Relief Fund Payments

On January 25, 2022, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) announced that it will be disbursing an additional $2 billion in Provider Relief Fund Phase 4 payments.

As with the other Phase 4 payments, these funds will be based on lost revenues and increased expenses from July 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. In addition, Phase 4 is focused on equity and therefore bonus payments will be awarded to providers who serve Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Medicare beneficiaries.

Providers that receive more than $10,000 in payments will be required to report on their use of the funds. For more information, please reference the reporting requirements.
