Paycheck Protection Program Extended to May 31

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, President Joe Biden signed the PPP Extension Act of 2021 into law, extending the application deadline an additional two months to May 31, 2021. The law also extends the authorization of loans to June 30, 2021, which gives the Small Business Administration (SBA) an additional 30 days to process PPP applications.

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan that was designed to incentive small businesses for keeping their employees on payroll. According to SBA data, as of March 28, 2021, 8,728,494 PPP loans have been approved totaling $734,094,425,889.
