New Overtime Rules Go Into Effect in PA

Written by Certified Payroll Specialist, Kristen O'Connell, CPP

On October 3, 2020, changes to Pennsylvania’s Minimum Wage Act regulations regarding overtime went into effect. The changes that were made work to more closely align the duties for the executive, administrative, and professional salaried exemptions. Changes to the overtime rule also include increases to the minimum salary phased in over three steps. The salary threshold will adjust automatically every three years, starting in 2023.
