Dan Chodan, CPA
Partner
Dan joined Trout CPA in 2013. He graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He currently leads the firm's Consumer Services Industry Group with a particular focus on dealership clients.
As a Tax Partner, Dan manages all aspects of tax planning and preparation services, including monthly close consulting, year-end planning, and financial statement review and analysis.
Outside of the firm, Dan's expertise has been sought after. He has spoken nationally through the AICPA's Town Hall events, authored AICPA resources, and appeared as a repeat guest on the AICPA's Tax Odyssey podcast. He has written for various publications, including Think Outside the Tax Box, Your Tax Matters Partner, and guest-authored tax blogs. Dan was also featured in The Unique CPA and Tax Girl podcast while contributing to various tax reporting, including WSJ, Bloomberg, Tax Notes, Current Federal Tax Developments, Accounting Today, and others.
