Allen Schiff, CPA, CFE

Allen joined Trout CPA in 2026 with over 50 years of experience in accounting and advisory for dental practice management. Prior to the acquisition, Allen was the Managing Member of Schiff & Associates and was a Partner with Smart & Associates for 30 years as the practice leader for dental practice management services.

Allen’s services include business planning, obtaining financing, succession planning, exit strategies, long-range planning, and employee compensation. Allen has assisted dentists with practice acquisitions, start-ups, operational analysis, and associate contract analysis.

Allen is the President of the Academy of Dental CPAs, a group of knowledgeable CPA firms across the nation that specialize in practice management services to the dental industry for over 11,000 clients. He is also an accomplished speaker on topics such as dental practice management, transition planning, choosing a dental CPA, obtaining financing, identifying embezzlement in the workplace, and business start-ups for audiences including the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), local societies, and dental schools.
