Daniel Surma

Dan joined Trout CPA in 2024. He brings over 15 years of experience serving the non-profit community in management roles such as Vice President of Finance and Outsourced CFO and Controller, as well as externally as an independent auditor.

Dan graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2006.

As an Outsourced Accounting Manager, Dan focuses on understanding clients' specific finance-related needs and challenges, and providing tailored solutions that enhance management's understanding of relevant issues, create efficiencies, and maximize sustainability.

In his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, bass fishing, and rooting for Philadelphia sports teams. He lives in Cumberland County with his wife and two children.
