Monte Anderson, CPA, MAc
Monte joined Trout CPA in 1999. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as well as a Master of Accountancy degree with an emphasis in Taxation. Monte leads the firm’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice Group.
Monte provides complex consulting services and practical, targeted solutions to firm clients by delivering high level insight to the confusing area of state and local taxes.
Monte frequently identifies SALT planning opportunities that reduce tax exposure and administrative compliance burdens for firm clients. He guides clients through the process of real-world exposure management by helping them understand an overall view of their SALT circumstances.
As a Practice Group Leader, Monte continually monitors the changing landscape of the SALT practice area to keep pace with changing tax implications that impact firm clients.
Monte works closely with business and individual clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution, engineering, architectural, construction, transportation, and other professional services. He is a contributing member of the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution and Construction Practice Groups.
As a Tax Department Manager, Monte handles all aspects of tax planning, business consulting, tax preparation, and review and compilation services for firm clients.
Monte enjoys spending time with his family, home improvement projects, and volunteer work. He lives in Lancaster County with his wife and two children.
