Trout CPA Welcomes New Employees & Interns

In January 2021, Trout CPA hired four Staff Accountants, Paige Peachey, Dino Sanfilippo, Tanner Therit, and Justin Mellet-Smith. These professionals participated in Trout CPA's Virtual Accounting Internship program this past summer. This month, the firm also welcomed three accounting interns, Brynna Randall, Tyler Hill, and Megan Parsons. In addition, Jill Brenner was hired as the firm's new internal bookkeeper.

Trout CPA is pleased to welcome these professionals to the Trout CPA team.

Paige Peachey, Staff Accountant

Paige graduated from Penn Manor High School and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Millersville University. She chose to pursue a career in accounting because of the opportunity to lead people to their financial goals. "I've always been interested and involved in leadership - it has been a huge part of my life", explained Paige. Paige has completed three internships at Trout CPA including two audit and one tax.

In her spare time, Paige enjoys baking, shopping, and traveling.

Dino Sanfilippo, Staff Accountant

Dino Sanfilippo graduated from Penn State Harrisburg with his MBA and Bachelors in Accounting.

When asked why he chose a career in accounting, Dino said, "I enjoy the organization of money and the business environment and wanted a career that would challenge me."

Dino is no stranger to Trout CPA. He has completed three accounting internships at our firm where he gained hands-on experience.

Dino is PIAA certified to ref basketball and enjoys officiating games in his free time.

Tanner Therit, Staff Accountant

Tanner grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Lebanon Valley College and is currently pursuing his MBA. During Tanner's collegiate studies, he gained hands-on experience from multiple internships in both public and corporate accounting.

Tanner decided to pursue a career in accounting after taking accounting classes in high school and visiting a public accounting firm.  "My senior year of high school, we took a field trip to a public accounting firm. I realized that accounting was not what everyone made it out to be. It is much more than sitting at a desk crunching numbers," explained Tanner.

In his free time, Tanner enjoys watching and playing sports. He recently took on the Hershey High School Men’s Soccer Varsity Assistant Coaching position and the Head JV Coaching position in the fall of 2020, which he plans to continue into the 2021 fall season.

Justin Mellet-Smith, MBA, Staff Accountant

Justin graduated in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Master of Business Administration degree from Penn State Harrisburg. He is currently working on obtaining his CPA designation. Justin chose to work in accounting because he understands the worth of a dollar and the significance of managing, organizing, and taking care of financials. In his free time, Justin enjoys watching and playing sports and playing chess.

Brynna Randall, Accounting Intern

Brynna graduate from Messiah University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in International Business. While attending Messiah, she participated in the Accounting Club, Investment Club, and the Animal Alliance Club.

During her last semester in college, she decided to move to New York City to experience life in the Big Apple. She explains, "I met one of my roommates on Facebook and found us an apartment on Craigslist. It was a bit of a wild ride, but luckily, things worked out, and I got to meet some amazing people along the way. Recently, I decided to come back to my family’s farm in central PA to study for the CPA, train my pony, Alwynn, and spend time volunteering at Susquehanna Service Dogs. As you might be able to tell, I love adventure, traveling, and learning. I am fully excited for my next experience with Trout CPA and the ability to learn more about the accounting profession."

Megan Parsons, Accounting Intern

Megan attends Shippensburg University where she is expected to graduate in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. This is Megan's first internship. "I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about public accounting and Trout CPA," said Megan. She enjoys hiking and traveling in her free time.

Tyler Hill, Accounting Intern

Tyler is a Senior Accounting major at Shippensburg University. He is expected to graduate in May 2021. Tyler chose to study accounting because he enjoys and excels at working with numbers.
