Tax Notice Mail Scam Warning

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue warns the public of a new Tax Notice mail scam. Several residents have received fraudulent notices in which the con artists threaten legal action or criminal prosecution if they don’t pay a tax debt. The letters come from the “Tax Processing Center” and state the recipient owes “The State of Pennsylvania” unpaid taxes.
