Judith L. Hoar, CPA, CSEP


Judith L. Hoar, CPA, CSEP joined Trout, Ebersole & Groff, LLP in 1987 and was admitted as a partner in 1999.

Jude is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She received a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Estate Planning from Surgent & Associates in 1998 and was recognized as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning with a CSEP designation in 1999.

As a Partner, Jude manages the clerical staff and is responsible for firm administrative functions. Jude’s expertise is in estate and trust administration and taxation. She also specializes in tax planning and preparation for a wide variety of small businesses such as auto dealerships, manufacturing, medical practices, rental and leasing entities, restaurants, office supply and furniture retailers, and service and professional organizations.

In 2005, Jude was chosen by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of Central Pennsylvania’s 2005 Forty Under 40 award winners. The forty winners are a select group of individuals who have achieved notable success and demonstrated strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field. Jude was chosen for her commitment to professional excellence and the community.

Jude is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Lancaster Estate Planning Council, and Hospice Planned Giving Council. Jude is currently Vice President of the Lancaster Estate Planning Council. She is also Past Treasurer of Leave a Legacy.
