Trout, Ebersole & Groff, LLP is pleased to announce Brian Pennington, CPA has joined the firm as an Audit Supervisor in our Capital Region office. Brian graduated from Messiah College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and obtained his CPA designation in 2014.
Prior to his employment at Trout, Ebersole & Groff, LLP, Brian was an auditor for an accounting firm in DC, during which he worked on government contractors and employee benefit plans. Brian also has two years of experience as a controller for a small business. As a controller, his primary responsibilities included business accounting, IT, and HR operations. Brian also was responsible for creating budgets and tax projections to assist the business in its financial goals. In addition, he oversaw the administration of the company's various benefit plans, including the 401(k) Plan, the company ESOP Plan, and medical benefits.
In his free time, Brian enjoys playing recreational sports such as flag football and soccer, as well as spending time with his family and friends.
