CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Trout, Ebersole & Groff, LLP provides to all its staff cost effective, time efficient continuing professional education (CPE) that is customized and focused. Each professional is encouraged to develop their expertise in an area that is interesting to them. Certain disciplines even offer additional designations. These additional accreditations will enhance the professional as an authority on a specific topic.

Some of our professionals also become great instructors. We encourage our professional staff to participate in some of our in-house training, present topics of an educational nature to community bodies, and even write articles of a technical nature for publication.

Each month we hold a staff meeting where timely topics and training of a technical nature are presented. The topics may be of accounting, tax, or distinctive firm needs. Administrative issues and staff recognition are also addressed during these meetings. We call these structured and formal gatherings our "roundtable" discussions.

INTERNSHIPS

"The internship program with Trout, Ebersole & Groff offers a great opportunity for college students to learn the procedures of a public accounting firm. Interns are introduced to everything from training on company software to actual experience with working on projects. They are given the opportunity to work with a variety of people in the firm and in different areas of expertise. The program is perfectly balanced as to offer beneficial experience and hands on learning, while not overwhelming college students. The knowledge gained from Trout, Ebersole & Groff's internship program is invaluable and a great way to achieve familiarity with accounting principles and procedures outside of the classroom."
  -  Lauren Schaefer, Summer 2008 Intern
